We would like to welcome you to Ector Independent School District's Web Page. Our school consists of approximately 270 students on a PK-12 campus.
Ector Elementary grades 2nd through 6th competed in a District Academic UIL meet on December 10th. They ranked second place out of seven schools. We are very proud of their results. They will receive their individual and team awards at our next awards assembly. We would like to thank all the participants and their coaches for their time and dedication given to these extra-curricular academics. Click here for the results.
Ector ISD Board of Trustee Election
There are 2 seats expiring this year. The first day to file for a Place on the Ballot is January 28, 2015. The last day to file for a place on the ballot is February 27, 2015.
Anyone interested in running for Place 1 or Place 2 must file by 5:00 p.m. on February 27, 2015. An application for a place on the ballot may be picked up at the Administration Office in the Elementary Building, 301 S. Main, Ector, TX. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
The election date is May 9, 2015, with early voting in person from April 27 to May 5, 2015. Scott Johnson represents Place 1. Wesley Hicks represents Place 2.
To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 and have lived in Texas at least one year by May 9, 2015. They also must have resided within the Ector Independent School District for at least six months by May 9, 2015 and be a registered voter.
Ector High School Royalty
On Friday, December 5, 2014, Ector ISD held their Homecoming. The Homecoming Queen and King were seniors, Abby Reyes and Trent Jones.
The other senior nominees for queen were Elena Nino, Cheyenne Arnold, and Mayu Kawasumi.
Senior nominees for king were Tyler Self, Graham Shannon, and David Adams.
The Junior Princess and Prince were Kelsee Nelson and Nathan Johnson.
The Sophmore Princess and Prince were Karen Nino and Andrew Groneck.
The Freshman Princess and Prince were Stormy Shockley and Dallin Shaeffer.
Box Tops for Education
Please save and send your Box Tops to our school. We are going to continue utilizing this program for our school. Please continue to save throughout the remainder of the school year and send them with your child at anytime. We really appreciate any and all Box Tops we get.

Reporting Procedures for Bullying
To obtain assistance and intervention, any student who believes that he or she has experienced bullying or believes that another student has experienced bullying should immediately report the alleged acts to a teacher, counselor, principal, or other District employee. Please see ECTOR ISD FFI (LOCAL)
If you have not signed up for Flash Alert, please do so ASAP. If you have signed up in the past for this free service you may want to make sure everything is the same. With the winter season approaching we need everyone to get signed up. If you don't have access to the internet at home you can come to the school to use one of our computers to get added to this system. It is free of charge to sign up for this system. Please notify one of the school offices if you have any questions.
